Over the past year, we have been working with the Alliance for the Advancement of Infant Mental Health in Michigan to obtain the endorsement for early childhood mental health professionals in Mississippi. This endorsement offers a tremendous opportunity for the state of Mississippi. The next several years promise an exciting future for MSAIMH. The organization will have a positive impact on the service delivery system to infants and families across the state. The stakeholders will play a pivotal role as this important work develops. Stakeholder will help with the development of policies as it relates to the operation of the association. The Mississippi Association for Infant Mental Health endorsement sets standards for early childhood professionals. The association will ensure that competent services to children and families will be provided. Through a process of professional development that establishes a series of steps for required and supplemental training experiences to adequately prepare one for work in the field. We invite you to become a part of this growing initiative.
